Get Involved

Every young person deserves a foundation. Help us build it — as a board member, partner, mentor, volunteer, or donor.

There are many ways to make a difference

Beyond Eighteen Foundation is in its founding season, and we are actively seeking people who believe that no young person should face the transition to adulthood alone. Whether you can give your time, your expertise, your resources, or your network — your involvement matters.

Founding Board Members

We are seeking passionate, mission-aligned leaders to help shape the direction of Beyond Eighteen Foundation as founding board members. Your governance, expertise, and advocacy will be foundational to our long-term impact.

Nonprofit & Organizational Partners

We welcome partnerships with other nonprofits, community organizations, and institutions that share our values. Together we can expand our reach, deepen our resources, and build a stronger network of support around youth in care.

Housing & Transition Partners

Landlords, property managers, and furnished-goods donors play a vital role in helping youth secure safe housing. Whether you can offer a unit, a reduced rate, or a starter kit of essentials for a young adult's first apartment — you are addressing the physical cliff directly.

Corporate & Community Sponsors

Local businesses and corporations can sponsor a workshop series, fund a transitional housing stipend, or hire program graduates. Your investment creates sustainable pathways and demonstrates that the private sector cares about this community.

Mentors

Long-term, trusting relationships are at the heart of what we do. Mentors walk alongside youth as caring, consistent adults — offering guidance, encouragement, and a steady presence during one of life's most challenging transitions.

Life Skills Mentors & Coaches

Match your professional expertise directly with youth who need it most. Whether it's career coaching, resume building, financial literacy — budgeting, credit building — or navigating apartment hunting, your knowledge creates real-world traction. Just 2–3 hours a month can change a trajectory.

Volunteers

From life-skills workshops to community events, volunteers are the hands and feet of our mission. If you have an hour a month, a skill to share, or simply a heart for this work — we want to hear from you. High school students are welcome too.

Donors

Financial contributions directly fund transitional housing support, educational scholarships, mentorship programs, and life-skills training for youth aging out of foster care. Every dollar builds a stronger foundation.

Smaller ways to make a big impact

Not everyone is ready to commit to long-term mentoring right away — and that is okay. Here are a few low-barrier ways to help build momentum.

The "First Apartment" Registry

We maintain a wishlist of basic essentials — pots, pans, towels, hygiene products — so community members can buy a specific item to furnish a youth's first home. Tangible, direct, and meaningful.

Spread the Word

Share our mission with your network. A single connection from a follower could lead to a vital housing partner, an employer, or a mentor. Use our social media toolkit to make it easy.

"When a safety net is missing, community becomes the bridge. Whether you have an hour a month to mentor, a spare room to rent out, or resources to share, you are actively dismantling the systemic cliff."
